Governors

The Governors of St Peter’s school come from a variety of different backgrounds – all are voluntary and all attend regular full meetings of the Governing Body as well as sub-committees (Finance, Teaching & Learning) to do with the school’s finances, staffing, premises, curriculum etc. The Governors share in the school’s vision and values and are proud to be part of the St Peter’s community.

The Governing Body of St Peter’s has a number of responsibilities. They work with the Headteacher to help run the school. While the head is responsible for its day-to-day management, the Governors provide oversight as a “critical friend” – to set strategic direction, review progress and both challenge and support the management team.
