Ezekiel Ewulo
On Tuesday 20th July, we were very fortunate to have a visit from Olympic athlete, Ezekiel Ewulo or otherwise known as Zeeks. Zeeks is a professional long jump athlete who has competed for both Britain and for Nigeria; his proudest achievement to date is when he gained the ‘British Indoor Long Jump Title’. Zeeks delivered a fantastic virtual assembly to the children; he discussed how he came to be so successful and what his training regime consists of. He then worked with each class to push them to their limits through a variety of physical activities. Zeeks was impressed with how brilliant all the children were in the event – looks like we have many budding athletes on our hands! Thank you so much to everyone who has brought in sponsorship money, we will be able to do something special for the school with the funds!
Mayor's Cup Team 2021-2022
We are very excited to start competing in a range of sporting competitions this year. Our Mayor's Cup teams took part in their first game of the season up against Brackenbury (17.09.21). The children demonstrated tremendous sporting skills and sportsmanship in both of their games. Enjoy the photos! We can't wait for our next game.
National Fitness Day
At St Peter’s we value the importance of regular physical activity to enhance both mental and physical well-being of all children. In honour of National Fitness Day, Wednesday 22nd September 2021, every year group took part in the daily mile, either around the school playground or around Ravenscourt Park. The children did amazingly and all tried their very best – even the teachers did! Remember, we have a weekly KS2 running club with Mr Thomas and Mr Correia, which the children can attend if they wish. There is still chance to sign up; we have some talented runners in the school.
